ExpressLRS on your phone
ExpressLRS receivers and transmitter modules have a built-in Wi-Fi web server for settings and updates. The FlySpark app finds the device's hotspot, connects, and shows the binding phrase, model match, options and firmware update in a layout made for phones.
Wi-Fi tools need the FlySpark app on Android or iPhone, because a web page cannot join a device's hotspot. You can try the simulated receiver in your browser.

Features
Find and join
On Android the app searches for the ExpressLRS hotspot and joins it for you.
Binding phrase
Set or change the binding phrase so receiver and module pair without the bind button.
Model match
Set the model match id so the receiver only answers the right model on your radio.
Firmware update
Upload new receiver or module firmware over Wi-Fi.
Options and backpack
Runtime options, output power and backpack settings.
Lua menu
The ExpressLRS Lua script's module and receiver settings through an EdgeTX radio, a Betaflight flight controller or a USB-serial adapter.
Why use a phone for ExpressLRS
The ExpressLRS Configurator desktop app is the official way to build and flash ExpressLRS firmware, and it remains the right tool for first-time flashing and custom builds. Day-to-day jobs, changing a binding phrase, setting model match or checking a receiver's version, are quicker from a phone at the field.
The official web UI on the receiver is also available from inside FlySpark, when you need a page FlySpark does not show.
Through the flight controller
If the receiver is wired to a Betaflight flight controller, the app can reach it through passthrough over USB, with no Wi-Fi needed. The ELRS Lua menu tool shows the same settings the radio's Lua script shows, for the module and the receiver.
Try it now
Open the demo in your browser to explore a simulated receiver with binding phrase, model match and firmware screens. Then install the app to work with real hardware. For the flight controller side, see the Betaflight configurator.
How to change an ExpressLRS binding phrase from a phone
- Install the app. Install FlySpark from Google Play or the App Store.
- Start Wi-Fi mode. Power the receiver and wait for Wi-Fi mode, or start it from the Lua menu.
- Connect. Open ExpressLRS in FlySpark. On Android it joins the hotspot itself; on iPhone join it in Settings first.
- Set the phrase. Enter the binding phrase, save, and repeat on the transmitter module.
Frequently asked questions
Can I configure ExpressLRS in a browser?
Not through FlySpark's web version: a web page cannot join the receiver's Wi-Fi hotspot. Use the FlySpark app, or the receiver's own web page from your phone's browser after joining its hotspot.
Can I flash ExpressLRS firmware from my phone?
Yes, over Wi-Fi for receivers and modules that are already running ExpressLRS. First-time flashing over UART is best done with the ExpressLRS Configurator.
Does it work on iPhone?
Yes. Join the ExpressLRS hotspot in the iPhone's Wi-Fi settings, then open FlySpark.
Can I try it without a receiver?
Yes. The browser demo includes a simulated ExpressLRS receiver.
