INAV Configurator for the browser and your phone

INAV is the firmware of choice for GPS planes, flying wings and long-range quads. FlySpark gives it a configurator that runs in Chrome or Edge and in the FlySpark app for Android and iPhone, so you can check a mixer, edit a mission or adjust navigation settings at the field.

Connect over USB or Bluetooth, or open the simulated INAV board to explore the tabs first.

Free. Hardware connections need Chrome or Edge on a computer; phones use the FlySpark app.

Features

An INAV configurator where you fly

Fixed-wing pilots spend a lot of time at the field checking servo directions, launch settings and the return-to-home altitude. Doing that on a phone or a small laptop saves a trip back to the car. FlySpark lays out the INAV tabs for touch and narrow screens while keeping the names you know from the INAV Configurator.

The official INAV Configurator stays the reference desktop tool and supports every feature first. FlySpark is an independent alternative for the times when a phone or a browser tab is what you have.

Missions on a map

The Mission tab places waypoints on a map, shows the route and estimated flight time, and uploads the list to the flight controller. INAV multi-mission is supported: pick which mission to edit and which one the aircraft flies. Missions round-trip through the same .mission file format as the INAV configurator, so you can move a plan between tools. See the drone mission planner page for more on planning.

What you need

In a browser you need Chrome or Edge on a computer, and a USB data cable or a Bluetooth UART module on the flight controller. On Android the app also connects over USB OTG and Wi-Fi MSP bridges. Always remove the propellers before testing motors or servos.

How to connect an INAV flight controller in the browser

  1. Choose INAV. Open FlySpark in Chrome or Edge and choose INAV.
  2. Connect. Plug the flight controller in over USB, or power it with a Bluetooth module fitted, and allow the device when the browser asks.
  3. Check the mixer. Confirm the platform, motors and servo directions in the Mixer and Outputs tabs.
  4. Save. Save your changes; the board reboots with the new configuration.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an INAV configurator for Android?

Yes. The FlySpark app for Android connects to INAV over USB OTG, Bluetooth or a Wi-Fi MSP bridge, and includes the mission planner.

Can I open my existing .mission files?

Yes. The mission planner reads and writes the .mission XML format used by the INAV configurator and mwp, including several missions in one file.

Does it support fixed-wing aircraft?

Yes. Planes and flying wings are set up through the mixer and outputs, with servo settings and navigation tabs for fixed-wing flight.

Which INAV versions work?

FlySpark reads what the board reports and shows the tabs that firmware supports. Very old releases may lack some screens; the CLI is always available.

Can I try it without a flight controller?

Yes. The demo opens a simulated INAV board with planes, missions and the programming tab.
